How do I get the Find Full Text feature to work?

Ensure that you have the settings configured for the OpenURL path.

  • In EndNote preferences: Edit --> Preferences --> Find Full Text. This is the OpenURL Path: https://libkey.io/libraries/1990/openurl?

Once the OpenURL path is configured, select the articles you want to find. Under References, select Find Full Text to find as many PDFs as the system can automatically find and pull into EndNote for you.  This feature works best on campus. 

For articles Endnote does not automatically find, you can right click on the selected reference, select 'URL', then 'OpenURL Link' to navigate to a page where you can access the full text or request an Interlibrary Loan.

Occasionally, after an upgrade to the latest version, you may experience a glitch in using the find full text feature and downloading PDFs. Try signing in to the online version while the desktop client is open, then try the find full text feature again.
